Sărbătoarea aceasta, a

Intrării Maicii Domnului in

Biserică, pe care o prăznuim

noi în fiecare an la 21 Noiem-

brie este o sărbătoare în cin-

stea Preasfintei Născătoare

de Dumnezeu, care potrivit

credinţei noastre se cuvine

să fie cinstită. Pentru că nu

este doar o femeie, doar o

sfântă; este mai presus de

profeţi, de patriarhi, de

apostoli , de cinstitul

Înaintemergător, de îngeri şi

de arhangheli, mai presus de

orice creatură raţională.

După Hristos, după Sfânta

Treime, vine Preasfânta

Născătoare de Dumnezeu, cea

mai minunată şi mai frumoasă

creatură şi lauda neamului ome-

nesc. „Presfântă Stăpână, de

Dumnezeu Născătoare, roagă-te

p e n t ru n o i p ă c ă t o ş i i ! ”

(Pavecerniţa Mare). Trebuie să

avem o mare evlavie către Preas-

fânta Născătoare de Dumnezeu.

Dumnezeu ar fi putut să po-

runcească ca omul să iasă din

stâncă. Şi oare nu din stâncă iese

o floare sau un copac? Dar

atotînţelepciunea Lui a hotărât

ca omul să se nască din bărbat şi

din femeie, din unirea lor, din

sfântul aşezământ al Nunţii.

God was worshipped in the Temple. As in

ancient times, so also in the life of the

Church, children are not excluded from the

worship of the people of God. Through ho-

ly Baptism, children too are members of the

Church. Not only did children always take

part in gatherings for worship, but they also

took part in prayers of repentance. We have

many examples of this.

The Prophet Joel announces to his con-

temporaries a great divine visitation on ac-

count of the sins of the people. At the same

time, however, he exhorts them to repent, in

the hope that this terrible trial may perhaps

be averted. In particular, he urges them all,

including infants, to offer penitent prayer...

The participation of infants in this prayer

of repentance has a twofold significance.

Firstly, it shows that no sin is simply a per-

sonal event, but has cosmic dimensions. Thus

the whole community ought to pray to God.

Secondly, the prayer of children, who pray in

their own way, may be heard by God. Addi-

tionally, and equally important, it has anoth-

er profound purpose: children learn what

their real family is and who its members are.

They also acquire experiences of worship of

God, and these childhood experiences will

play an important role in their later develop-

ment. We see in the Psalms of David that

God prefers praise "from the mouths of

babies and nursing infants" (Ps. 8:2) and

accepts their prayers.

The New Testament preserves an account

of the participation of a child in worship, spe-

cifically in worship at night; combined with

teaching... Patristic theology states that all

human beings have a "noetic faculty," as all

are created in the image of God. Children

too have a "noetic faculty," including in-

fants. "In fact, because their noetic faculty

has not yet been polluted, it is purer than

our own." Their rational faculty, however, is

not yet developed, so they do not pray with

our own received forms and images. Chil-

dren also pray to God, but in their own

fashion. As time passes, and as all their

mental powers develop, they understand

things differently, but usually their nous is

darkened and obscured by the darkness of

their surroundings. It is possible for the

presence of children in worship to be more

intense than our own presence. They may

pray better than adults.

Everything we have said so far, prompt-

ed by Samuel's presence in the Temple,

gives us the opportunity to look at the ele-

ments that contribute to the good up-

bringing of Children in the Church. This

is a burning issue for parents. We shall em-

phasize certain points that are indispensa-

ble for bringing up children well in the

Church. Children ought from the earliest

age to love the church, the place where God

dwells and where the glory of God is mani-

fested. In church the child will live the

Church's life of worship. Worship will play a

major role in his later development.

Children should attend church with

their parents and their whole fami-

ly. In this way they feel that they belong to

a worshipping community, which is

their wider family. It is very important for

them to pray with their parents, not at

separate Liturgies...

Dumnezeu. Iar părinţii ei cine au fost?

Tatăl ei se numea Ioachim, iar mama Ana.

Aceştia au fost părinţii Feciaorei Maria.

Părinţi foarte evlavioşi. Dar aveau un

necaz. Care? Că anii treceau şi nu năşteau

copii. Erau trişti. Îl rugau pe Dumnezeu să

le dea un copil şi făcuseră promisiunea să i-

L închine. Şi Dumnezeu a auzit rugăciunea

lor. Şi iată Ana a rămas însărcinată. După

nouă luni a născut o fetiţă drăgălaşă pe

care au numit-o Maria; un nume care avea

să rămână nemuritor în istoria omenirii. N-

au ţinut-o pe Maria lângă ei. Când s-a

făcut de trei ani, spune Tradiţia Bisericii,

au condus-o la Templul din Ierusalim po-

trivit promisiunii lor; unde Preasfânta no-

astră a rămas doisprezece ani şi era

hrănită mai presus de fire de către Ar-

hanghelul Gavriil.

Când copila s-a făcut de cincisprezece

ani, preoţii au încredinţat-o logodnicului

Iosif. Aşa a venit în Nazaret şi acolo s-a

întâmplat cealaltă minune: „Îngerul cel mai

întâi-stătător din cer a fost trimis să zică

Născătoarei de Dumnezeu: Bucură-

te!” (Imnul Acatist); Gavriil i-a vestit că va

naşte fără sămânţă bărbătească, într-un

mod dumnezeiesc şi mai presus de fire pe

Mântuitorul omenirii, pe Împăratul lumii,

„a Cărui împărăţie nu va avea

sfârşit” (Simbolul de Credinţă; Luca 1, 33).

Aşadar, această sărbătoare ne învaţă

să ne rugăm lui Dumnezeu pentru a

putea fi binecuvântaţi cu prunci buni şi

să aducem pe lume copiii pe care ni

dăruieşte Dumnezeu.

Ce altceva ne mai învaţă acest mare

praznic? Ce-au făcut părinţii Fecioarei?

L-au dus pe copilaşul lor la Templu. Asta

trebuie să se întâmple şi astăzi. Eşti

tată? Eşti mamă? Copilaşul să-l duci la

biserică. Să îi obişnuieşti mânuţa să facă

semnul crucii. Să îl obişnuieşti să în-

genuncheze şi să se roage. Limba lui să

înveţe să rostească numele dumnezeiesc.

Primele cuvinte pe care le va învăţa să

fie „Dumnezeu”, „Hristos”; „tată” şi

„mamă” şi „bunică”, acestea sunt în al

doilea rând. Iar în duminici, mama să-şi

scoale copiii pentru biserică. În anii de

demult se trezeau copiii şi mergeau la

biserică; şi ascultau Evanghelia şi se

împărtăşeau cu Preacuratele Taine.

Acum? Nimic! Majoritatea se odihnesc

sau merg la activităţi sportive. Şi în bi-

serică sunt tot mai puţini copii. Pentru

asta e nevoie de grijă.

Aşadar părinţi, aduceţi-i pe copiii

voştri la sf. biserică.

Intrările Preasfintei noastre ne

învaţă să închinăm copilul sau copiii lui

Dumnezeu! Asta este cea mai bună

închinare, asta este cea mai mare

Părinţii Preasfintei L-au închinat lui

Dumnezeu. Să consideraţi cinste şi binecuvân-

tare a-I da lui Dumnezeu pe unul din copiii

voştri. Să spuneţi: Pe acest copil îl închin să

devină într-o zi preot/slujitor al Celui

Preaînalt, propovăduitor al Evangheliei,

misionar, professor… Este mare lucru ca unul

din ei să slujească lui Dumnezeu, pentru că

preoţii îi naştem si formăm noi – credincioşii.

Iubiţii mei, acestea sunt învăţăturile aces-

tei sfinte sărbători, care poate fi caracterizată

ca o zi de sărbătoare a copilului. Doar contesta-

tarii credinţei creştine doresc să şteargă

sărbătorile bisericeşti. De aceea, părinţi, nu fiţi

neglijenţi. Copiii voştri cresc cel mai bine în

biserică, în duhul rugăciunii şi a dragostei

izvorâtă din învăţătura Evangheliei lui

Hristos! Copiii voştri sunt de la Dumnezeu

şi trebuie crescuţi/închinaţi lui Dumnezeu!

Pentru că dacă va înceta să fie cultivată

în copii şi în tineri credinţa în Dumnezeu,

societatea se va transforma în junglă. Fără

Dumnezeu, toate crimele/păcatele sunt

îngăduite; şi furturi şi necinstiri şi ucideri şi

orice rău. Copiii la biserică îşi întăresc

sănătatea spirituala şi îşi dezvoltă dragos-

tea divină! Doar aşa există nădejde să se

creeze o altă lume mai sănătoasă, o socie-

tate mai omenească, care să devină din nou

lumină şi călăuză omenirii.

pentru Sf. Împărtăşanie/Euharistie. Să ne

amintim că Sf. Euharistie este chiar Trupul

şi Sângele lui Hristos şi este necesar să-L

primim pentru viaţa veşnică; aşa cum ne

învaţă Mântuitorul Însuşi în Evanghelia de

la Ioan cap. 6 “Lucraţi nu pentru mâncarea

cea pieritoare, ci pentru mâncarea ce rămâne

spre viaţa veşnică şi pe care o va da vouă Fiul

Omului, căci pe El L-a pecetluit Dumnezeu-

Tatăl.”(v. 27) şi mai departe spune “Eu sunt

pâinea vieţii… Eu sunt pâinea cea vie, care s-

a pogorât din cer. Cine mănâncă din pâinea

aceasta viu va fi în veci. Iar pâinea pe care Eu

o voi da pentru viaţa lumii este Trupul Meu…

Şi le-a zis Iisus: Adevărat, adevărat zic vouă,

dacă nu veţi mânca trupul Fiului Omului şi

nu veţi bea sângele Lui, nu veţi avea viaţă în

voi.” (v. 48-53)
