Ordinele și medaliile reprezintă recunoașterea meritelor personale sau acceptarea într-un grup de elită. Uneori, astfel de ordine sunt distribuite numai unor grupuri extrem de restrânse, alteori sunt medalii comune distribuite aproape automat. În fotografii și ilustrațiile din literatură privind unele ceremonii, se pot observa militari decorați care poartă medalii. Ofițerii superiori poartă uneori medalii rare sau deosebite. Când imaginile sunt de bună calitate, unele dintre ele pot fi identificate cu ajutorul materialului prezentat mai jos.

The order and medals are testimonials to the acknowledgement of personal valor or an accepance into an elite group. Sometimes, such orders are distributed only to very selective groups, other times they are meant as common medals to be almost automatically awarded. In photograps and literature illustrations on some ceremonies, military personnel maybe noticed wearing medals. The high-rank officers may sometimes display rare or special medals. When such images are of fairly high grade, some may be identified by means of the following.
