Prepoziie

Prepoziia este o parte de vorbire neflexibil care exprim relaiile sintactice de subordonare dintre un substantiv (sau un substitut al acestuia) ori dintre un verb i un alt cuvnt. Prepoziia nu are funcie sintactic i are rol morfologic auxiliar. Ea se analizeaz gramatical cu partea de vorbire care o nsoete.

n limba romn contemporan prepoziia cere cazul: acuzativ, genitiv i dativ.

Prepoziia se poate clasifica dup form i dup origine.

Dup form, prepoziia se clasific n:

prepoziie simpl (un singur element): a, ctre, contra, cu, de, fr, n, ntru, pe, pentru, pn, peste, printre, prin, din, dup, asemenea, datorit;

prepoziie compus (din dou sau mai multe prepoziii simple): de la, de ctre, de pe, fr de, pe la, de pe lng, de peste, pe lng, pe sub, de pe sub, pn pe la;

locuiune prepoziional (grupuri de cuvinte cu neles unitar care au rolul de prepoziii): dincolo de, n afar de, n sus de, n jos de, la dreapta, la stnga, de jur mprejurul, n faa, n spatele, n dosul, ndrtul, n urma, de-a lungul, de-a latul, din pricina, cu excepia, n privina, dindrtul, pe dinafara, conform cu, contrar cu, cu tot, n loc de, fa de, potrivit cu, cu privire la, nainte de.Clasificare dup origine[modificare

Dup origine, prepoziia poate proveni din:

adverb: naintea, dinaintea, ndrtul, mpotriva, deasupra, napoia, contrar, ca, dect, ct;

substantiv: graie;

verb la participiu: datorit, mulumit
