After this e%isode, the %ilgrims still #anted to start a ne# life in the /Ne# "orld0!The shi% carried su%%lies to hel% them survive1 $arrels of #ater, seeds to %lant, clothesand tools to $uilt houses! The voage to the ne# land #as long and hard! There #erestorms and the shi% #as reall cro#ded! The suffered of hunger and $ad #eatherconditions, man of them died mean#hile! The voage took '' das !The landed on thenorth2east coast of North America, #hat toda #e kno# as 3lmouth 4ock,assachusetts ! The %revious ear5s harvests had failed and in the #inter of &'() half ofthe %ilgrims had starved to death! The *nglish %eo%le met a friendl Native AmericanTri$e called The "am%anoag Tri$e! The taught the %ilgrims ho# to gro# corn, ho# tohunt and ho# to fish! The summer harvest #as ver good and $ Novem$er, a ear aftertheir first arrival, there #as food for ever$od! The %ilgrims #ere ver grateful to theNative Americans for teaching them ho# to survive off the land and invited the tri$e to agreat dinner #here the gave thanks to God for the ne# friends, food, houses and thefreedom to go to an church the #anted! That #as the first Thanksgiving cele$ration,#hich lasted three das and the had a nice time together! This 0thanksgiving0 feast #asnot re%eated the follo#ing ear! an ears %assed $efore the event #as re%eated! It#asn5t until +une of &'6' that another .a of thanksgiving #as %roclaimed!

    This holida is a s%ecial da for families and %eo%le travel great distances to $e #ith theirfamilies! The give thanks for everthing that the %osses!
