1. Indicele produciei industriale Indicele brut al produciei industriale n luna octombrie 2008comparativ cu luna precedent, a nregistrat o scdere pe ansamblu cu 0,7%,determinat de scderea produciei n industria prelucrtoare (-1,3%). n industria extractiv i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap producia a crescut cu 1,4% respectiv cu 5,4%. Ramurile industriei prelucrtoare ai cror indici bruiai produciei industriale au sczut semnificativ au fost: pielrie i nclminte (-10,4%), mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (-8,4%), maini i aparate electrice (-7,9%) i alimentar i buturi (-7,7%). Pot fi menionate, de asemenea, creteri semnificative ale produciei pentru ramurile industriale: echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+28,3%), produse din tutun (+13,4%) i prelucrarea lemnului i a produselor din lemn (exclusiv mobila) (+10,3%). Pe marile grupe industriale se observ c indicele brut al produciei industriale a crescut n industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (+4,9%) urmat de industria energetic (+3,5%) i industria bunurilor intermediare (+0,6%), n timp ce n industria bunurilor de capital i industria bunurilor de uz curent indicele brut al produciei industriale a sczut cu 1,3% respectiv cu 4,5%. Comparativ cu luna octombrie 2007, noctombrie 2008 indicele brut al producieiindustriale a nregistrat o scdere cu 3,0% determinat de scderea produciei n industria prelucrtoare (-4,6%). n industria extractiv i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap producia a crescut cu 6,2% respectiv cu 11,8%. Ramurile industriale care au contribuit substanial la scderea indicelui brut al industriei prelucrtoare au fost: produse textile (-37,0%), mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (-29,4%),metalurgie (-24,5%) i maini i aparate electrice (-22,7%). De asemenea, s-au nregistrat i creteri semnificative ale produciei n ramurile industriale: produse din tutun (+34,8%) i edituri, poligrafie i

1. Industrial production index

Gross industrial production index of October 2008 as against the previous month registered a decrease per total by 0.7% due to the production increase in manufacturing (-1.3%). In mining and quarrying and in electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector production increased by 1.4% respectively by 5,4%. The manufacturing industrial brancheswhose gross industrial production indeces meningful decreased were: leather goods and footwear (-10.4%), means of transport not including in road transport (-8.4%), electric machinery and appliances (-7.9%)and food and beverages (-7.7%). We could also mentione meaningful increases of the industrial production in the following industrial branches: radio, TV and communication equipment (+28.3%), tobacco products (+13.4%) and wood and wooden products manufacturing (excluding furniture) (+10.3%). By main industrial groups we could see that the gross industrial production indexmeaningful increased in durable goods industry (+4.9%) followed by energy industry (+3.5%) and intermediate goods industry(+0,6%) while in capital goods industry and in current use goods industry the gross industrial production index decreased by 1,3%respectively by 4.5%. In October 2008 as compared to October2007 gross industrial production index registered a decrease of 3.0% supported by the production decrease in manufacturing (-4.6%). In mining and quarrying and in electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector production increased by 6.2% respectively by 11,8%. The industrial branches which contributed substantially to the decrease of the manufacturing gross index were: textile products (-37.0%), means of transport not included in road transport (-29.4%), metallurgy (-24.5%) and electric machinery and appliances (-22.7%). Meaningfulproduction increases were also registered inthe industrial branches: tobacco products (+34.8%) and publishing houses, polygraphy,

Impactul creterilor menionate asupra creterii produciei pe ansamblul industriei prelucrtoare a fost estompat de scderile nregistrate n alteramuri industriale, precum: produse textile (-20,2%), maini i aparate electrice (-12,8%) i celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-9,6%). Pe marile grupe industriale cele mai mari creteri s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de uz curent (+7,9%) urmat de industria bunurilor de capital (+6,9%),industria energetic (+2,1%) i industria bunurilor intermediare (+1,0%). n industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat producia a sczut cu 2,6%. Indicele produciei industriale ajustat n funcie de numrul de zile lucrtoare a sczut n luna octombrie2008 fa de luna precedent cu1,0%, scdere determinat de diminuarea produciei n industria prelucrtoare (-1,1%) i n industria extractiv (-0,2%). n industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i approducia a crescut cu 5,7%. n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurile industriale a cror producie a sczutsemnificativ au fost: mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (-11,8%), pielrie i nclminte (-9,6%), alimentar i buturi (-7,3%), mijloace de transport rutier

During the period 1.I-31.X.2008 in comparison with the same period of last year gross industrial production index was by 3.9% higher that increase being supported by all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+0.7%), manufacturing (+3.9%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+8.8%). In manufacturing the highest production increases were registered in the industrial branches: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+31.0%), tobacco products (+27.8%) and radio, TV and communication equipment (+16.7%). The impact of significant growths mentioned above over the growth per total manufacturing was diminished by the decreases registered in other manufacturing branches: textile products (-20.2%), electric machinery and apparatus (-12.8%) and pulp, paper and paper products (-9.6%). By main industrial groups the highest growths were registered in current use goods industry (+7.9%) followed by capital goods industry (+6.9%), energy industry (+2.1%) and intermediate goods industry (+1.0%). In durable goods industry production decreased by 2.6%. Adjusted index of industrial production according to the number of working days decreased in October2008 as against the previous month by1.0% due to the production decrease in manufacturing (-1.1%) and in mining and quarrying (-0.2%). In electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry production increased by 5.7%. In manufacturing the industrial branches whose production meaningfuly decreased were: means of transport not included in road transport (-11.8%), leather goods and footwear (-9.6%), food and beverages (-7.3%), means of road transport (-7.3%) and

Comparativ cu luna corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a sczut n octombrie 2008 cu 3,2%, din cauzascderii produciei n industria prelucrtoare (-4,6%), n special n ramurile industriale: produse textile (-37,1%), mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (-31,5%), metalurgie (-24,7%) i maini i aparate electrice (-22,3%). Creteri semnificative ale produciei industriale pot fi menionate n ramurile industriale: produse din tutun (+36,9%) i edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+36,3%). n industria extractiv i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap, indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a crescut cu 5,3% respectiv cu 12,0%. Pe marile grupe industriale creteri aleproduciei s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de uz curent (+6,3%) i n industria energetic (+3,0%). n cazul celorlalte mari grupe industriale producia a sczut astfel: industria bunurilor intermediare (-7,3%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-8,4%) i industria bunurilor de capital (-12,1%). n perioada 1.I-31.X.2008, comparativ cu perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a crescut cu 3,7%, datorit creterii produciei n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv(+0,7%), industria prelucrtoare (+3,6%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+8,9%). n cadrul industriei

The evolution of adjusted index of industrial production by main industrial groups was the following: energy industry(+3.1%), durable goods industry (+2.7%), intermediate goods industry (+0.1%), capital goods industry (-1.1%) and current use goods industry (-3.6%). Compared with corresponding month of previous year in October 2008adjusted index of industrial production decreased by 3.2% that decrease being determined by the production decrease in manufacturing (-4.6%) especially in the industrial branches: textile products (-37.1%), means of transport not including in road transport (-31.5%), metallurgy (-24.7%) and electric machinery and appliances (-22.3%). Meaningful Increases of the industrial production can be mentioned in the industrial branches: tobacco products (+36.9%) and publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+36.3%). In mining and quarrying and in electric and thermal energy, gas and water industryadjusted index of industrial productionincreased by 5.3% respectively by 12.0%.. By main industrial groups production increases were registered in current use goods industry (+6.3%) and in energy industry (+3.0%). The production of the other main industrial groups decreased as follows: intermediate goods industry (-7.3%),durable goods industry (-8.4%) and capital goods industry (-12.1%). During the period 1.I-31.X.2008 in comparison with the corresponding period of previous year adjusted index of industrial production increased by 3.7% due to the production increase in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+0.7%), manufacturing (+3.6%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry(+8.9%). In manufacturing the industrial

Fa de perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, n perioada 1.I-31.X.2008, productivitatea muncii n industrie a nregistrat o cretere cu 7,4%, cretere influenat de dinamica pozitiv a productivitii muncii n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+0,5%), industria prelucrtoare (+7,7%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+12,5%). Ramurile cu cea mai mare productivitate a muncii din cadrul industriei prelucrtoare au fost: produse din tutun (+40,4%), edituri, poligrafie i

During the period 1.I-31.X.2008 compared with the corresponding period of previous year labor productivity in industry registered a growth by 7.4%, that growth being influenced by the productivity increase in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+0.5%), manufacturing (+7.7%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+12.5%). The industrial branches with the highest labor productivity in manufacturing were: tobacco products (+40.4%), publishing houses, polygraphy, recording and copying

Indicii cifrei de afaceri din industrie Comparativ cu luna precedent, n luna octombrie 2008 indicele volumului cifrei de afaceri totale (piaa intern i piaa extern) a unitilor industriale a fost mai mare cu 4,1%, datorit creterilor nregistrate n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+3,5%), industria prelucrtoare (+3,2%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+11,9%). Ramurile industriei prelucrtoare care au determinat n mod deosebit creterea cifrei de afaceri totale au fost: mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (+69,3%) i echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+27,9%). Scderi semnificative pot fi menionate n ramurile industriale: mijloace de transport rutier (-11,9%), produse din tutun (-11,4%) i substane i produse chimice (-4,2%). Pe marile grupe industriale evoluia indicelui volumului cifrei de afaceri totale se prezint astfel: industria energetic (+9,8%) industria bunurilor de capital (+8,0%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (+3,0%), industria bunurilor intermediare (+1,7%) i industria bunurilor de uz curent (-0,9%). Manufacturing industrial branches which especially determined total turnover increase were: means of transport not including road transport (+69.3%) and radio, TV and communication equipment (+27.9%). Meaningful decreases can be mentioned for the industrial branches: means of road transport (-11.9%), tobacco products (-11.4%) and chemical substances and products (-4.2%). The evolution of total turnover volume index in industry by main industrial groups was as follows: energy industry (+9.8%), capital goods industry (+8.0%), durable goods industry (+3.0%), intermediate goods industry (+1.7%) and current use goods industry (-0.9%). Pe sectoare de activitate, preurile produselor din industria extractiv i cele la energie electric i termic, gaze i ap au nregistrat o cretere cu 5,1%, respectiv cu 0,2%, iar cele din industria prelucrtoare o scdere cu 0,6%. n industria prelucrtoare, creteri semnificative de preuri s-au nregistrat la produsele din ramurile industriale: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+2,6%), maini i aparate electrice (2,2%), produse textile (+2,1%), mijloace de transport rutier (+2,1%), celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (+2,0%), materiale de construcii i alte produse din minerale nemetalice (+1,8%), mobilier i alte activiti industriale neclasificate n alt parte (+1,7%), maini i echipamente (+1,7%). Scderi de preuri au avut loc la produsele din ramurile industriale: prelucrarea ieiului, cocsificarea crbunelui i tratarea combustibililor nucleari (-8,3%), metalurgie (-0,5%). La energie electric i termic, gaze i ap creteri de pre se constat la producia, transportul i distribuia de energie electric i termic, gaze i ap (+0,3%). Pe marile grupe industriale a fost nregistrat urmtoarea evoluie a preurilor:

+0,7% pentru produsele din cadrul grupei bunurilor intermediare;

+1,6% pentru produsele din cadrul grupei bunurilor de capital;

+1,6% pentru produsele din cadrul grupei bunurilor de folosin ndelungat;

+0,6% pentru produsele din cadrul grupei bunurilor de uz curent;

-2,2% pentru produsele din cadrul industriei energetice.

5. Industrial production price indices In October 2008, compared with September 2008, the industrial producer prices registered a total decrease of 0.1% (domestic and non-domestic market). By sectors of activity, mining and quarrying and electric and thermal energy, gas and water product prices registered an increase of 5.1% respectively of 0.2% while manufacturing product prices registered a decrease of 0.6%. In manufacturing, price increase were registered for the products of the industrial branches: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording and copying (+2.6%), electric machinery and apparatus (+2.2%), textile products (+2.1%), means of road transport (+2.1%), pulp, paper and paper products (+2.0%), construction materials manufacturing and other non-metallic mineral products (+1.8%), furniture and other industrial activities not elsewhere classified (+1.7%), machinery and equipment (+1.7%). Price decreases were registered for the products of the industrial branches: petroleum processing, coal coking and treatment of nuclear fuel (-8.3%) and metallurgy (-0.5%). For electric and thermal energy, gas and water price increases are experienced with regard to production and distribution of electric and thermal power, gas and water (+0.3%). By main industrial groups, the following increases in prices were registered:

+0.7% for products of intermediate goods industry group;

+1.6% for products of capital goods

Pe marile grupe industriale creteri semnificative de preuri se remarc la produsele industriei bunurilor intermediare (+24,4%). Creteri de preuri sub nivelul nregistrat pe total se constat la:

produsele din cadrul industriei energetice +13,8%;

produsele din cadrul industriei bunurilor de uz curent +12,9%;

produsele din cadrul industriei bunurilor de capital +12,7%;

produsele din cadrul industriei bunurilor de folosin ndelungat +9,5%.

In October 2008 compared with October 2007, the highest price rise was registered for manufacturing products (+18.8%), followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water (+10.6%) and mining and quarrying products (+5.5%), respectively. By main industrial groups, significant price increases were registered for the intermediate goods industry (+24.4%). Price rises beyond the overall increase level were registered for:

products from the energy industry +13.8%;

Producia intern a nsumat 20392,4 mii tep, n cretere cu 3,2% fa de aceeai perioad a anului precedent, iar importul a fost de 13995,3 mii tep, n cretere cu 0,1%. Resursele de energie electric, n perioada 1.I-31.X.2008, au fost de 54374,3 milioane kWh, n cretere cu 4350,6 milioane kWh (+8,7%) fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007. Creterea resurselor de energie electric s-a datorat n principal creterii produciei cu 4785,3 milioane kWh (+9,8%). n termocentrale producia a sczut cu 1468,4 milioane kWh (-4,7%), n timp ce n hidrocentrale i n centrale nuclearoelectrice producia a crescut cu 2048,8 milioane kWh (+16,0%) respectiv cu 4204,9 milioane kWh (+84,6%). Consumul final de energie electric n perioada 1.I-31.X.2008 a fost de 44190,6 milioane kWh, cu 5,7% mai mare fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007; iluminatul public a nregistrat o cretere cu 10,8%, iar consumul populaiei a crescut cu 5,9%.

Main resources of primary energy During the period 1.I-31.X.2008, as against the same period of 2007, the main resources of primary energy amounted to 34387.7 thou tonnes of oil equivalent (toe), increasing by 641.9 thou toe. Domestic production amounted to 20392.4 thou toe, increasing by 3.2% as against the same period of 2007 and import was 13995.3 thou toe increasing by 0.1%. Electricity resources during the period 1.I-31.X.2008 amounted to 54374.3 million kWh, increasing by 4350.6 million kWh (+8.7%) as compared to the same period of 2007. The increase of electricity resources was based mainly on the production increase with 4785.3 million kWh (+9.8%). The production from thermo-power stations decreased by 1468.4 million kWh (-4.7%) while hydro-power stations and nuclearo-power stations production increased by 2048.8 million kWh (+16.0%) respectively by 4204.9 million kWh (+84.6%). During the period 1.I-31.X.2008, the final electricity consumption amounted to 44190.6 million kWh, by 5.7% more than in the same period of 2007; public lighting increased by 10.8% and population consumption increased by 5.9%.

Ctiguri salariale Ctigul salarial mediu brut din industrie n luna octombrie 2008 a fost de 1638 lei (RON), iar cel net de 1225 lei (RON), n scdere cu 1,4% fa de luna septembrie 2008, dar n cretere cu 19,5% fa de octombrie 2007. Cel mai mare ctig salarial mediu brut s-a nregistrat n industria extractiv de 2863 lei (RON), urmat de cel din industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap de 2606 lei (RON), cel mai mic ctig salarial mediu brut obinndu-se n industria prelucrtoare de 1460 lei (RON), respectiv n ramurile: articole de mbrcminte 982 lei (RON), prelucrarea lemnului i a produselor din lemn (exclusiv mobila) 1047 lei (RON) i pielrie i nclminte 1054 lei (RON). n perioada 1.I-31.X.2008, comparativ cu aceeai perioad din anul precedent, ctigul salarial mediu net a crescut cu 21,2%.

Earnings In October 2008, gross average earning in industry was RON 1638 while the net one was RON 1225 decreasing with 1.4% as against september 2008 but increasing by 19.5% as against october 2007. The highest gross average earning was registered in mining and quarrying RON 2863 followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry RON 2606, the lowest gross average earning being obtained in manufacturing RON 1460 respectively in the industrial branches: clothing articles RON 982, wood and wood products processing (except furniture) RON 1047 and leather goods and footwear RON 1054.
