3Dragi prieteni, de`i am dorit mult s vscriu despre mntuirea pe care o mpr-t`im, am sim^it nevoia s v scriu desprealtceva, `i anume: s v rog s lupta^i pentrucredin^a care a fost dat sfin^ilor* o datpentru totdeauna. 4Pentru c s-au strecuratprintre voi oameni a cror pedeaps a fostanun^at de mult timp n Scriptur*. Ei suntlipsi^i de reveren^ fa^ de Dumnezeu,schimb harul lui Dumnezeu n desfrnare`i nu-L recunosc pe Isus Cristos, Domnul `i

singurul nostru Stpn.5Am vrut s v amintesc (chiar dac voi`ti i deja acestea) c Domnul, care a salvatpoporul Su din Egipt, mai trziu i-a nimicitpe aceia care nu credeau. 6V mai amintesc`i de acei ngeri care au renun at la pozi^iilelor de autoritate `i `i-au prsit locuin^ele.Dumnezeu i-a aruncat n ntuneric, unde sunt^inu^i n lan^uri eterne, ca s fie judeca^i nZiua cea Mare. 7Asemenea acelor ngeri suntSodoma `i Gomora*, mpreun cu cet^ile dinjur, care au practicat imoralitatea sexual `irela^iile mpotriva naturii. Ele sufer pedeap-sa focului etern, fiind un exemplu pentru noi.

8La fel sunt `i ace`tia {care au venit prin-tre noi}: se las cluzi^i de visele lor `i `ipngresc trupurile. Ei nu accept autorita-tea lui Dumnezeu `i vorbesc mpotriva nge-rilor slvi^i. 9Nici mcar arhanghelul1

To those who have been chosen and are lovedby God the Father and have been kept safe inJesus Christ.

2Mercy, peace, and love be yours more and more.

God Will Punish Those Who Do Wrong3Dear friends, I wanted very much to write to

you about the salvation we all share together. But Ifelt the need to write to you about something else: Iwant to encourage you to fight hard for the faiththat God gave his holy people.* God gave this faithonce, and it is good for all time. 4Some people havesecretly entered your group. These people havealready been judged guilty for what they are doing.Long ago the prophets* wrote about them. They areagainst God. They have used the grace* of our Godin the wrong wayto do sinful things. They refuse

to follow Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.5I want to help you remember some things youalready know: Remember that the Lord saved hispeople by bringing them out of the land of Egypt.But later he destroyed all those who did notbelieve. 6And remember the angels who lost theirauthority to rule. They left their proper home. Sothe Lord has kept them in darkness, bound witheverlasting chains, to be judged on the great day.7Also, remember the cit ies of Sodom* an dGomorrah* and the other towns around them. Likethose angels they were full of sexual sin andwrongdoing. And they suffer the punishment ofeternal fire, an example for us to see.

8It is the same way with these people who haveentered your group. They are guided by dreams.They make themselves dirty with sin. They rejectGods authority and say bad things against theglorious ones.1 9Not even the archangel* Michaeldid this. Michael argued with the devil about who

Sunt ni`te norifr ap, purta^i de vnturi ncoace `i nco-lo; sunt ni`te copaci de toamn fr fructe;sunt dezrdcina^i `i mor^i de dou ori.13Sunt ca valurile slbatice ale mrii, carespumeg de propriile lor fapte ru`inoase.Sunt ni`te stele rtcitoare, crora li s-apstrat, pentru ntreaga eternitate, ntuneri-cul cel mai adnc.

14i Enoh, al `aptelea de la Adam, a profe-^it despre ei cu aceste cuvinte: Iat, Domnulvine cu mii de mii de ngeri sfin^i, 15ca s-ijudece pe to^i oamenii `i s-i dovedeascvinova^ i pe cei fr team de Dumnezeu

16Ace`tia se plng ntotdeauna `i cautgre`elile celorlal^i. `i urmeaz propriile lordorin^e, gura lor spune lucruri pline de mn-drie `i-i lingu`esc pe ceilal^i pentru a ob^ineun avantaj.

Un avertisment `i cteva sfaturi17Dar voi, dragii mei, aminti i-v cuvinte-

le car e au fos t ros t i t e de apos to l i i *Domnului nostru, Isus Cristos. 18Ei v-au zis:La sfr`itul timpului, vor veni batjocori-tori, care vor lucra dup propriile lor dorin^enecurate. 19Ace tia sunt cei care provoacdezbinare . Ei sunt condu`i de dorin^e lenaturii lor pctoase, nu au Duhul*.

would have the body of Moses.* But Michael didnot dare to condemn even the devil for his falseaccusations. Instead, Michael said, The Lordpunish you!

But these people criticize things they dontunderstand. They do understand some things. Butthey understand these things not by thinking, butby feel ing, the way dumb animals understandthings. And these are the things that destroy them.11It will be bad for them. They have followed theway that Cain* went. To make money, they havegiven themselves to following the wrong way thatBalaam* went. They have fought against God likeKorah1 did. And like Korah, they will be destroyed.

12These people are like dirty spots amongyouthey bring shame to you in the specialmeals you share together. They eat with you andhave no fear. They take care of only themselves.They are like clouds without rain. The wind blowsthem around. They are like trees that have no fruitat harvest time and are pulled out of the ground.So they are twice dead. 13Like the dirty foam onthe wild waves in the sea, everyone can see theshameful things they do. They are like stars thatwander in the sky. A place in the blackest dark-ness has been kept for them forever.

14Enoch, the seventh descendant from Adam,said this about these people: Look, the Lord iscoming with thousands and thousands of his holyangels 15to judge everyone. He will punish allthose who are against him for all the evil they

have done in their lack of respect for him. Yes,the Lord will punish all these sinners who donthonor him. He will punish them for all the evilthings they have said against him.

16These people always complain and findwrong in others. They always do the evil thingsthey want to do. They boast about themselves.The only reason they say good things about othersis to get what they want.

A Warning and Things to Do17Dear friends, remember what the apostles* of

our Lord Jesus Christ said before. 18The apostlessaid to you, In the last times there will bepeople who laugh about God. They do onlywhat they want to dothings that are againstGod. 19These are the people who divide you.They are not spiritual, because they dont havethe Spirit.*

20But you, dear friends, use your most holyfaith to build yourselves up even stronger. Pray

Help those who have doubts.23

Rescue thosewho are living in danger of hells fire. There areothers you should treat with mercy, but be verycareful that their filthy lives dont rub off on you.1

Praise God24God is strong and can keep you from falling.

He can bring you before his glory* without anywrong in you and give you great joy. 25He is theonly God, the one who saves us. To him be glory,greatness, power, and authority through JesusChrist our Lord for all time past, now, and for-ever. Amen.
