1. Indicele produciei industriale Indicele brut al produciei industriale n luna iulie 2008 comparativ cu luna precedent, a nregistrat o scdere pe ansamblu cu 1,4%, determinatde scderea produciei n industriaprelucrtoare (-2,8%), ndeosebi n urmtoarele ramuri industriale: produse din tutun (-29,2%), edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (-16,7%) i mobilier i alte activiti industriale n.c.a. (-13,2%). Pot fi menionate, de asemenea, creterisemnificative ale produciei pentru ramurileindustriale: celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (+12,5%), produse textile (+9,7%), pielrie i nclminte (+6,4%) i construcii metalice i produse din metal(+6,0%). n industria extractiv i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap producia a crescut cu 4,3%, respectiv cu 14,3%. Pe marile grupe industriale se observ c indicele brut al produciei industriale a crescut numai n industria energetic (+5,1%), n timp ce pentru celelalte grupe el a sczut dup cum urmeaz: industria bunurilor intermediare (-0,1%), industria bunurilor de capital (-1,7%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (-3,9%) i industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-10,6%). Comparativ cu luna iulie 2007, n iulie2008 indicele brut al produciei industriale a nregistrat o cretere cu 5,1% susinutde creterea produciei n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv(+8,4%), industria prelucrtoare (+4,8%)i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+4,2%). Ramurile industriale care au contribuit substanial la creterea indicelui brut al industriei prelucrtoare au fost: aparatur i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (+48,2%), echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+35,5%) i mijloace detransport neincluse la cele rutiere (+24,5%). Scderi semnificative ale produciei s-au nregistrat n ramurileindustriale: produse textile (-21,2%), maini i aparate electrice (-19,0%), prelucrarea ieiului, cocsificarea

1. Industrial production index

Gross industrial production index of July 2008 as against the previous month registered a decrease per total by 1.4% due to the production decrease in manufacturing (-2.8%) especially for the following industrial branches: tobacco products (-29.2%), publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (-16.7%) and furniture and other industrial activities n.c.e. (-13.2%). We could also mentione meaningful increases of the industrial production in the following industrial branches: pulp, paper and paper products (+12.5%), textile products (+9.7%), leather goods and footwear (+6.4%) and metallic construction and metal products (+6.0%). In mining and quarrying and in electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector production increased by 4.3% respectively by 14.3%. By main industrial groups we could see that the gross industrial production index onlyincreased in energy industry (+5.1%) while for the other groups it decreased as follows: intermediate goods industry (-0,1%), capital goods industry (-1.7%), current use goods industry (-3.9%) and durable goods industry (-10.6%). In July 2008 as compared to Julye 2007gross industrial production index registered a growth of 5.1% supported by the production increase in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+8.4%), manufacturing (+4.8%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+4.2%) . The industrial branches which contributed substantially to the increase of the manufacturing gross index were: medical precision, optical, watchmaking instruments and apparatus (+48.2%), radio, TV and communication equipment (+35.5%) and means of transport not included in road transport (+24.5%). Meaningful production decreases wereregistered in the industrial branches: textile products (-21.2%), electric machinery and appliances (-19.0%), crude oil processing, coal coking and treatment of nuclear fuels

Pe marile grupe industriale cea mai marecretere a produciei s-a nregistrat n industria bunurilor de capital (+14,7%),urmat de industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (+9,7%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (+4,9%), industria bunurilor intermediare (+1,8%) i industria energetic (+1,5%). n perioada 1.I-31.VII.2008, comparativ cu perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele brut al produciei industriale a fost mai mare cu 5,8%, cretere susinut de industria prelucrtoare (+6,4%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+6,5%), n timp ce n industria extractiv producia a sczut cu 0,8%. n industria prelucrtoare cele mai mari creteri ale produciei s-au nregistrat n ramurile: echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+28,0%), produse din tutun (+27,8%) i edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+24,4%). Impactul creterilor menionate asupra creterii produciei pe ansamblul industriei prelucrtoare a fost estompat de scderile nregistrate n alte ramuri industriale, precum: produse textile (-16,2%), maini i aparate electrice (-10,6%) i celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-8,3%). Pe marile grupe industriale cele mai mari creteri s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de capital (+12,5%), urmat de industria bunurilor de uz curent (+9,2%), industria bunurilor intermediare (+2,6%),industria energetic (+1,7%) i industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (+0,2%). Indicele produciei industriale ajustat n funcie de numrul de zile lucrtoare a sczut n luna iulie 2008fa de luna precedent cu 3,7%, scdere determinat de diminuareaproduciei n industria prelucrtoare(-4,9%). n industria extractiv i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap producia a crescut cu 1,2%respectiv cu 13,3%. n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurile industriale a cror producie a sczut semnificativ au fost:produse din tutun (-28,6%), edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (-18,9%) i maini i

By main industrial groups the highest production growth was registered in capital goods industry (+14.7%) followed by durable goods industry (+9.7%), current use goods industry (+4.9%), intermediate goods industry (+1.8%) and energy industry(+1.5%). During the period 1.I-31.VII.2008 in comparison with the same period of last year gross industrial production index was by 5.8% higher that increase being supported by manufacturing (+6.4%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry(+6.5%) while in mining and quarrying production decreased by 0.8%. In manufacturing the highest productionincreases were registered in the industrial branches: radio, TV and communication equipment (+28.0%), tobacco products(+27.8%) and publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+24.4%). The impact of significant growths mentioned above over the growth per total manufacturing was diminished by the decreases registered in other manufacturing branches, such as: textile products (-16.2%), electric machinery and apparatus (-10.6%) and pulp, paper and paper products (-8.3%). By main industrial groups the highest growths were registered in capital goods industry (+12.5%) followed by current use goods industry (+9.2%), intermediate goods industry (+2.6%), energy industry (+1.7%) and durable goods industry (+0.2%). Adjusted index of industrial production according to the number of working days decreased in July 2008 as against the previous month by 3.7% due to the production decrease in manufacturing (-4.9%) In mining and quarrying and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry production increased by 1.2% respectively by 13.3%. Comparativ cu luna corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a crescut n iulie2008 cu 3,0%, datorit creterii produciei n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+5,2%), industria prelucrtoare (+3,1%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+3,0%). n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurile industriale cu cele mai importante creteri au fost: aparatur i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (+42,9%), echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+33,9%) i mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (+20,4%). Scderi semnificative ale indicelui ajustat al produciei industriale s-au nregistrat n ramurile: produse textile (-25,2%), maini i aparate electrice (-20,3%) i prelucrarea ieiului, cocsificarea crbunelui i tratarea combustibililor nucleari (-16,4%). Pe marile grupe industriale cele mai mari creteri ale produciei s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de capital (+14,1%), urmat de industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (+3,4%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (+2,6%), industria bunurilor intermediare (+0,3%) i industria energetic (+0,2%). n perioada 1.I-31.VII.2008, comparativ cu perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a crescut cu 5,6%, datorit creterii produciei n industria prelucrtoare (+6,2%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+6,5%), n timp ce n industria extractiv producia a sczut cu 0,8%. n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurile

Comparativ cu luna corespunztoare din anul precedent, productivitatea muncii n industrie a nregistrat n luna iulie 2008 o cretere cu 8,8%, cretere influenat de mrirea productivitii muncii n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+7,9%), industria prelucrtoare (+8,6%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+9,6%). Ramurile cu cea mai mare productivitate a muncii din cadrul industriei prelucrtoare au fost: aparatur i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (+69,0%), pielrie i nclminte (+36,7%) i fabricarea materialelor de construcii i altor produse din minerale nemetalice (+20,3%), iar ramurile cu cea mai sczut productivitate a muncii au fost: maini i aparate electrice (-25,0%), produse textile (-8,1%) i celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-5,5%). Fa de perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, n perioada 1.I-31.VII.2008, productivitatea muncii n industrie a nregistrat o cretere cu 9,3%, cretere influenat de dinamica pozitiv a productivitii muncii n dou din cele trei sectoare industriale: industria prelucrtoare (+10,1%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+9,5%). n industria extractiv, productivitatea muncii a sczut cu 0,1%. Compared with corresponding month of previous year labor productivity in industry registered a growth in July 2008 of 8.8% which was influenced by productivity increase in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+7.9%), manufacturing (+8.6%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+9.6%). The industrial branches with the highest labor productivity in manufacturing were: medical, precision, optical, watchmaking instruments and apparatus (+69.0%), leather goods and footwear (+36.7%) and construction materials manufacturing and other products of non metallic minerals (+20.3%) and the industrial branches with the lowest labor productivity were: electric machinery and apparatus (-25.0%), textile products (-8.1%) and pulp, paper and paper products (-5.5%). During the period 1.I-31.VII.2008 compared with the corresponding period of previous year labor productivity in industry registered a growth by 9.3%, that growth being influenced by the productivity increase in two from the three industrial sectors: manufacturing (+10.1%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+9.5%). In mining and quarrying labor productivity decreased by 0.1%. The industrial branches with the highest labor productivity in manufacturing were: tobacco products (+44.4%), publishing

Indicii cifrei de afaceri din industrie Comparativ cu luna precedent, n luna iulie 2008 indicele volumului cifrei de afaceri totale (piaa intern i piaa extern) a unitilor industriale a fost mai mare cu 0,2%, datorit creterii nregistrate n industria prelucrtoare (+1,0%), n timp ce n industria extractiv i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap cifra de afaceri total a sczut cu 0,4%, respectiv cu 6,6%. Ramurile industriei prelucrtoare care au determinat n mod deosebit creterea cifrei de afaceri totale au fost: mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (+45,6%), substane i produse chimice (+10,3%) i celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (+9,2%). Scderi semnificative pot fi menionate n ramurile industriale: produse din tutun (-83,7%), edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (-10,9%), maini i echipamente (-8,4%). Pe marile grupe industriale evoluia indicelui volumului cifrei de afaceri totale se prezint astfel: industria bunurilor intermediare (+3,5%), industria bunurilor de capital (+3,3%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-0,8%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (-4,8%) i industria energetic (-5,8%). Manufacturing industrial branches which especially determined total turnover increase were: means of transport not including road transport (+45.6%), chemical substances and products (+10.3%) and pulp, paper and paper products (+9.2%). Meaningful decreases can be mentioned for the industrial branches: tobacco products (-83.7%), publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (-10.9%), machinery and equipment (-8.4%). The evolution of total turnover volume index in industry by main industrial groups was as follows: intermediate goods industry (+3.5%), capital goods industry (+3.3%), durable goods industry (-0.8%), current use goods industry (-4.8%) and energy industry (-5.8%). Pe sectoare de activitate, preurile produselor la energie electric i termic, gaze i ap i cele din industria extractiv au nregistrat o cretere cu 2,7%, respectiv 2,1%, iar cele din industria prelucrtoare o cretere cu numai 0,7%. n industria prelucrtoare, creteri semnificative de preuri s-au nregistrat la produsele din ramurile: produse din tutun (+7,1%), metalurgie (+2,7%), mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (+2,5%), construcii metalice i produse din metal (exclusiv maini, utilaje i instalaii) (+1,8%), materiale de construcii i alte produse din minerale nemetalice (+1,4%). Scderi de preuri au avut loc la produsele din ramurile: aparatur i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (-1,9%), pielrie i nclminte (-1,2%), celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-0,6%), produse din cauciuc i mase plastice (-0,4%), articole de mbrcminte (-0,3%). Producia intern a nsumat 14267,3 mii tep, n cretere cu 2,3% fa de aceeai perioad a anului precedent, iar importul a fost de 9831,4 mii tep, n cretere cu 1,7%. Resursele de energie electric, n perioada 1.I-31.VII.2008, au fost de 38643,3 milioane kWh, n cretere cu 2838,6 milioane kWh (+7,9%) fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007. Creterea resurselor de energie electric s-a datorat n principal creterii produciei cu 3031,7 milioane kWh (+8,6%). n termocentrale producia a sczut cu 1860,5 milioane kWh (-8,3%), n timp ce n hidrocentrale i n centrale nuclearoelectrice producia a crescut cu 2398,7 milioane kWh (+26,6%) respectiv cu 2493,5 milioane kWh (+69,4%). Consumul final de energie electric n perioada 1.I-31.VII.2008 a fost de 31102,8 milioane kWh, cu 4,2% mai mare fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007; iluminatul public a nregistrat o cretere cu 10,8%, iar consumul populaiei a crescut cu 8,3%. Exportul de energie electric a crescut cu 1305,3 milioane kWh, respectiv cu 67,1% fa de perioada 1.I-31.VII.2007.

Main resources of primary energy During the period 1.I-31.VII.2008, as against the same period of 2007, the main resources of primary energy amounted to 24098.7 thou tonnes of oil equivalent (toe), increasing by 478.7 thou toe. Domestic production amounted to 14267.3 thou toe, increasing by 2.3% as against the same period of 2007 and import was 9831.4 thou toe, increasing by 1.7%. Electricity resources during the period 1.I-31.VII.2008 amounted to 38643.3 million kWh, increasing by 2838.6 million kWh (+7.9%) as compared to the same period of 2007. The increase of electricity resources was based mainly on the production increase with 3031.7 million kWh (+8.6%). The production from thermo-power stations decreased by 1860.5 million kWh (-8.3%) while hydro-power stations and nuclearo-power stations production increased by 2398.7 million kWh (+26.6%) respectively by 2493.5 million kWh (+69.4%). During the period 1.I-31.VII.2008, the final electricity consumption amounted to 31102.8 million kWh, by 4.2% more than in the same period of 2007; public lighting increased by 10.8% and population consumption increased by 8.3%. The export of electricity increased by 1305.3 million kWh, respectively by 67.1% as against the period 1.I-31.VII.2008.

Analiznd structura importurilor CIF de produse industriale realizate n luna mai 2008 se observ c mijloacele de transport rutier dein ponderea cea mai mare cu o valoare de 601,9 milioane euro, urmate de maini i echipamente cu 535,5 milioane euro, de petrol brut i gaze naturale 492,8 milioane euro, de produse ale industriei chimice, fibre i fire sintetice i artificiale 459,6 milioane euro i de produse ale industriei metalurgice 386,1 milioane euro. n luna mai 2008, comparativ cu mai 2007, cele mai mari creteri ale valorii importului s-au nregistrat la produse de cocserie, produse obinute prin rafinarea petrolului, combustibili nucleari (+69,7%), urmate de petrol brut i gaze naturale (+63,8%) i de produse din tutun (+34,8%). n perioada 1.I-30.V.2008, comparativ cu aceeai perioad din anul precedent, cele mai mari creteri ale valorii importului s-au nregistrat la produse de cocserie, produse obinute prin rafinarea petrolului, combustibili nucleari (+69,3%), urmate de petrol brut i gaze naturale (+50,9%) i de produse alimentare i buturi (+37,1%).

In May 2008 compared with May 2007 the highest increases of import value have been registred to coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel (+69.7%) followed by crude petroleum and natural gas (+63.8%) and tobacco products (+34.8%). During the period 1.I-30.V.2008 compared with the same period of previous year the highest increases of export value have been registred to coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel (+69.3%) followed by crude petroleum and natural gas (+50,9%) and food products and beverages (+37,1%).

Industria prelucrtoare deine ponderea cea mai mare cu 1325,8 mii persoane, urmat de sectorul energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap cu 122,7 mii persoane i industria extractiv cu 82,4 mii persoane. n ceea ce privete ramurile industriale, pe primul loc se situeaz industria articolelor de mbrcminte cu un efectiv de salariai de 193,2 mii persoane, urmat de industria alimentar i buturi cu 188,1 mii persoane i industria de maini i aparate electrice 95,4 mii persoane.

Manufacturing holds the highest weight (1325.8 thou persons) followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector (122.7 thou persons) and mining and quarrying (82.4 thou persons). Regarding industrial branches, the first place is held by clothing products industry with a number of employees of 193.2 thou persons followed by food and beverages industry with 188.1 thou persons and electric machinery and apparatus industry with 95.4 thou persons.

Ctiguri salariale Ctigul salarial mediu brut din industrie n luna iulie 2008 a fost de 1659 lei (RON), iar cel net de 1237 lei (RON), n cretere cu 4,5% fa de luna iunie 2008, i respectiv cu 24,3% fa de iulie 2007. Cel mai mare ctig salarial mediu brut s-a nregistrat n industria extractiv de 2915 lei (RON), urmat de cel din industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap de 2839 lei (RON), cel mai mic ctig salarial mediu brut obinndu-se n industria prelucrtoare de 1462 lei (RON), respectiv n ramurile: prelucrarea lemnului i a produselor din lemn (exclusiv mobila) 954 lei (RON), articole de mbrcminte 970 lei (RON) i pielrie i nclminte 1039 lei (RON). n perioada 1.I-31.VII.2008, comparativ cu aceeai perioad din anul precedent, ctigul salarial mediu net a crescut cu 21,0%.

9. Earnings In July 2008, gross average earning in industry was RON 1659 while the net one was RON 1237 increasing with 4.5% as against June 2008 respectively by 24.3% as against July 2007. The highest gross average earning was registered in mining and quarrying RON 2915, followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry RON 2839, the lowest gross average earning being obtained in manufacturing RON 1462 respectively in the industrial branches: wood and wood products processing (except furniture) RON 954, clothing articles RON 970 and leather goods and footwear RON 1039.
