AIMS:
• To get SS involved into the lesson
• To raise SS’ attention upon letter writing
• To practice Present Tense Continuous
• To practice vocabulary related to the topic

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING
T asks several questions about weather and SS’ mood .SS are asked
to close their books .T asks What do they think Daniel is writing
about in his letter?.SS now read Daniel’s letter .SS elicit the answer
to gap 2 and then ,in pairs ,SS fill in the gaps.
T checks the answer with the whole class.

T explains to the SS that they are going to write a letter.They should
write a draft first.SS discuss with each other what they are going to
say and prepare the first draft .T reminds them to look at Daniel’s
letter for help.T goes round the class to check and helping if
necessary.When the T is happy with their version SS can write their
letters.SS pass the letters to each other and T pins the letters on the
class noticeboard.

AIMS :

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMINGgame: COFFEE POT
T gives SS a minute to think of an everyday activity starts the game
by thinking of an activity and tells SS what is she doing now.T can
answer only to YES/NO questions .T writes prompts for questions on
the BB :
every day?
in the bathroom?
in the classroom?
in the sitting room?etc
SS must use COFFEE POT in place of the action when asking
questions,e.g:
.Do you coffee pot every day?

T answers SS’ questions until one guesses the correct answer .That S
thinks of another activity,e.s.o.T divides the class into groups so more
people can practice answering to questions.

AIMS:
• to practice vocabulary related to parts of the house
• to use diagrams
PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING
T pre-teaches SOFA and SS look at the diagram.T shows examples
(the sitting room)and tells them to find the dinning room by giving
them clues about the furniture in the dinning room(using
flashcards).T gives SS time to check this in small groups and then T
elicits the answers.T checks the answers and drill necessary for
pronounciation.(exr.6,p.78)SS have to note down the new vocabulary
related to furniture.
