Drawings on the shield is a golden eagle as a reference to the riches of the country, with open wings as a sign of protection, carrying in its beak a cross symbolizing religion orthodox as part of the majority population and the claws a sword and scepter, symbols of independence obtained by fight and sovereignty

Romanian Flag The meaning of the three colors is: BLUE is the sky, the

noblest element and symbolize gentleness, beauty and good faith, reminding Christian and ancestral law. YELLOW is the symbol of strength, of wealth and purity. It represents the fields of ripe wheat color. RED is the symbol of glory, joy, boldness and generosity. Also symbolizes the blood shed in the struggle, the power of life and ancestral energy.
