Place and role of the course in the context of specialist training conception The course aims to develop students' professional competences of future specialists capable to be integrated on the work market, to successfully participate in programs for research, development, training and other activities at local, national and international level financed through European funded programs. They must be able to materialize their results in well defined deliverables and positive quantifiable changes of the environment targeted by the project objectives (company, activity sector, society etc). A special place will be dedicated to activities focused on knowledge and proper application of guidelines for writing successful applications for European funded programs paying attention to

all aspects regarding IP protection, promotion of innovation, valorization of research results and facilitation of technological transfer. 4. Developed competences during the course:

Acquired competences: Knowledge and understanding

To know terminology/the concepts specific to the course; To elucidate adequately the essence of European funded programs and projects; To identify the need or problem that can be solved by a European project To identify, different types of European programs;

Explanation and interpretation

To describe the role of European programs in the development of Rep. of Moldova; To differentiate between funding based on projects and other types of funding; To explain the essence of European funding policy; To exemplify and argue the role European programs in funding different types of activities; To explain the essence of European programs work environment; To explain the role of various steps in the implementation of European projects. To identify the set of project evaluation indicators

Instrumental – Applied Competences To write a project proposal to be founded by a European program; To manage the process of project application writing and implementation; To set and monitor the project evaluation indicators; To promote quality culture in development and implementation of European projects.

Attitudinal Competences

To develop initiative and responsible attitudes towards developing projects solving real problems;

To develop a team attitude in the development of a European project based on social pro-active behaviour, interrelationship with other team members and cooperating spirit;

To manifest interest for developing creativity, flexible and critical thinking and result oriented attitude;

To manifest responsibility, competence, human solidarity, sensitivity in the professional activity.

5. Course outcomes:

Development of competences to elaborate, implement and evaluate a European project starting from a real need/problem;

Development of a pro-active attitude in promoting the new, in expressing the initiative in personal, social and professional life;

Development of competences for success in personal, social and professional life characterized by problem solving, efficient communication and collaboration, critical thinking, decision making and negotiation.
