BUN VENIT LA TIMIŞOARA

Numele de Timişoara provine de la Castrul Temesiensis, care a preluat vechea denumire latină a râului Timiş. Prima atestare a comitatului medieval Themes datează din anul 1177. Arheologia a scos la iveală urme de viaŃă omenească încă din epoca paleoliticului superior.

La începutul secolului al Xll-lea, Carol Robert d'Anjou îşi mută reşedinŃa la Timişoara , construind aici un castel de factură europeană şi care, apoi, este refăcut de Iancu de Hunedoara în 1443, iar din 1949 adăposteşte Muzeul Banatului.

În secolele XVIII-XIX, în Timişoara au fost iniŃiate ample lucrări prin asanarea mlaştinilor, pentru construirea unor edificii moderne, pentru creşterea gradului de civilizaŃie. Datorită lor s-a impus, în secolul trecut ca unul din cele mai frumoase oraşe sud-est europene, fiind denumit "Mica Vienă".

Timişoara în imagini: - Catedrala Mitropolitană, înălŃată între 1936-1946 după planurile

arhitectului Ion Troianescu, reprezintă arhitectonic o combinaŃie izbutită de elemente bizantine şi elemente caracteristice bisericilor moldoveneşti. În demisolul Catedralei se află Muzeul de Artă Religioasă.

- Statuia lui Romulus şi Remus (Lupoaica), o copie după celebra Lupa Capitolina din Roma.

- Teatrul şi Opera Română clădire înălŃată între 1872-1874, în stilul renaşterii. După incendiile din 1880 şi 1920 este restaurată.

- Primăria Veche, construită în stil baroc între anii 1731-734 de către arhitectul italian Pietro del Bonzo. Restaurată în 1872 şi 1935, când este complet modificată în stilul Renaşterii.

- Monumentul Sf. Treimi (P-Ńa Unirii), construit în 1740 de către Johann Antony în stil baroc, în memoria victimelor epidemiei de ciumă din anii 1738-1739.

- Palatul Eparhiei Sârbeşti (P-Ńa Unirii), construit în 1748, adăposteşte Muzeul Eparhiei Sârbeşti, în a cărui colecŃie se află valoroase obiecte de artă religioasă sârbească. Alături de Palatul Eparhiei se află Catedrala Ortodoxă Sârbă, construită între anii 1745-1748 în stil roman.

- Bastionul CetăŃii, unul din vestigiile multiplelor fortificaŃii care alcătuiau Cetatea Timişorii a fost construit între anii 1730-1733 în sistem Vauban.

- Domul Romano-Catolic (P-Ńa Unirii), opera arhitectului vienez Emanuel Fischer von Eriach, a fost construit între anii 1736-1754 în stil baroc austriac.

- Canalul Bega, primul canal navigabil din România a fost construit între 1727-1760.

WELCOME TO TIMISOARA

The name of Timisoara comes from Castrum Temesiensis, which

took ever the ancient Latin name of the river Timis. The medieval Themes country was first mentioned by 1177. The archeology brought to light traces of human life since the superior palaeolithic age.

In the early 12th century, Charles Robert d'Anjou changed residence in Timisoara erecting here castle in European style and which it was rebuild by lancu of Hunedoara in 1443 and since 1949 it has become the Banat Museum.

Between the 18-th - 19-th centuries in Timisoara vast workings had been initiated in draining of swamps, in erecting modern buildings, in raising the standard of civilization. Thanks to all this, Timisoara has imposed itself during the last century as one of the most beautiful towns in southeastern Europe being called "Little Vienna".

Timisoara in images: - The Metropolitan Cathedral of Banat, build between 1936 - 1946 according to the plans of architect Ion Troianescu; it

represents a successful combination between Byzantine elements and elements characteristic for Moldavian churches. In the basement of the cathedral is the museum of religious art.

- Romulus and Remus (the bitch-wolf), it is a copy of the well-known Lupa Capitolina in Rome.

- The Romanian Theatre and Opera House, erected from 1872 to 1874, in Renaissance style. After the fires of 1880 and 1920, it was restored.

- The Old Town Hall, build in Baroque style between 1731- 1734 by the Italian architect Pietro del Bonzo. Restored in 1782 and 1935 when it is entirely modified in Renaissance style.

- The St. Trinity Monument (Union Square), build in 1740 by Johann Antony in the memory of the plague victims in 1738-1739.

- The Serbian Diocese Palace (Union Square), build in 1748 it shelters the Serbian Diocese Museum, with a collection of valuable with objects of Serbian religious art. Next to the Diocese Palace there is the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, build from 1745 to 1748 in Roman style.

- The Citadel Bulwark, a vestige of many defenses works making up fortress of Timisoara it was build from 1730 to 1733 in the Vauban system.

- The Roman Catholic Dome (Union Square), the work of the Viennese architect Emanuel Fischer von Erlach, it was built from 1736 to 1754 in Austrian style.

- The Bega Channel, the first shipping channel in Romania, it was built from 1727 to 1760.

organizatorul Primului Simpozion NaŃional de Flebologie din România. Prin efortul nostru dorim ca valoarea ştiinŃifică a congresului să fie în concordanŃă cu standardele europene şi întâlnirea să fie benefică pentru toŃi participanŃii. Eroilor de la Tisa no. 22 Rezumatele / Abstracts • Rezumatele vor cuprinde 250 – 300 de cuvinte şi vor fi scrise în limba română şi engleză. Rezumatul în fiecare limbă trebuie sa fie redactat pe o coală separată scrisă cu caractere ARIAL cu dimensiunea de 12 pct. la 1,5 rânduri. Rezumatele pot fi transmise respectând cele de mai sus, pe suport electronic (CD) sau la adresa de e-mail specificată. • The abstracts must have 250-300 words in Romanian and English language. Each abstract must be written on a different page, with ARIAL characters, dimension of 12 points and 1.5 rows.
