Nanotechnology is the

understanding and control of

matter at dimensions of

roughly 1 to 100nanometers, where unique

phenomens enable novel

applications.

Nanomaterials have sizes ranging between 0.1

and 100 nanometers. This size is hard to imagine.

For comparation , a DNA molecule is 2 nanometers

in diameter, the atoms are between 0.1 and 0.2nanometers, and a red blood cell is 7,000

nanometers in diameter.
