DATE PRIVIND FINALIZAREA PROIECTULUI

DENUMIRE PROIECT Prepararea si caracterizarea materialelor cu dimensionalitate redusa ( PN09-450102 )

OBIECTIV: Prezentul proiect cuprinde studii privind miniaturizarea extrema necesara pentru

obtinerea unei functionalitati crescute a noilor generatii de dispozitive electronice sau de

comunicare bazate pe nanostructuri care au aplicatii in cele mai variate domenii pornind de

la electronica si comunicatii pana la biotehnologii si stiintele vietii. Cercetarile ce vor sta la

baza realizarii acestui proiect urmaresc prepararea si studiul unor materiale cu dimensiuni

caracteristice in domeniul nanometric. Obiectivele principale ale fazelor se vor concentra pe

obtinerea unor materiale cu dimensionalitate redusa precum si pe investigarea complexa a

proprietatilor acestora prin metode moderne.

CONŢINUT TEMATIC:

Cercetarile realizate in cadrul proiectului Prepararea si caracterizarea materialelor cu

dimensionalitate redusa in perioada 2009 – 2015 au fost dedicate directiei nanomaterialelor si aplicatiilor

acestora. S-a urmarit existenta unui echilibru constructiv intre dezvoltarea metodelor de preparare de

nanostructuri, de exploatare a functionalitatii acestora si de caracterizare a materialelor cu dimensionalitate

redusa si a unor dispozitive bazate pe acestea.

Materialele abordate atat pentru dezvoltarea de metode de preparare cat si pentru caracterizare

au apartinut unor clase largi, incluzand materialele semiconductoare, polimerice, cristaline etc.

PERFORMANŢE REALIZATE:

Cercetarile realizate si raportate pe durata de implementare a proiectului au fost situate in domeniul

extrem de dinamic al materialelor nanostructurate. Au fost publicate numeroase lucrari stiintifice, folosindu-se

atat infrastructura institutiei cat si colaborari internationale cu infrastructura complementara. Proiectul a permis

atat deschiderea unor directii de cercetare noi cat si consolidarea unor directii de traditie prin abordarea unor

sub-tematici noi si exploatarea celor mai noi dezvoltari ale domeniului. Un aspect important al domeniului este

reprezentata de complexitatea cercetarilor – multi- si inter – disciplinaritate. S-a urmarit folosirea unor grupuri

cu masa critica mare – cu cercetatori cu specializari complementare care sa permita atingerea de rezultate

importante, cu potential de impact ridicat.

Pe perioada realizarii proiectului s-a avut in vedere continuitatea tematica, evitandu-se fragmentarea

excesiva a cercetarii – incercand sa se realizeze acumularea de rezultate importante pe domenii bine tintite.

Oferim in continuare cateva exemple de rezultate din domenii diverse:

Au fost realizate compozite complexe sub forma de probe nanostructurate, utilizand diferite pulberi

nanometrice. Au fost optimizati parametrii de proces pentru sinterizarea asistata de camp electric in vederea

realizarii de materiale nanostructurate cu morfologie bine definita si reproductibila. Proprietatile termice ale

materialelor au fost investigate intr-un domeniu larg de temperaturi (5-1275 K).

S-a urmarit obtinerea unor materiale biocompatibile, cu proprietati antibacteriene. Pentru a pune in

evidenta cristalinitatea, puritatea materialelor obtinute, morfologia cat si prezenta unor dopanti s-au realizat

masuratori de difractie de raze X, microscopie electronica in transmisie, microscopie electronica de baleiaj

masuratori optice si spectroscopie de fotoelectroni.

Au fost realizate experimente de crestere a filmelor subtiri de oxizi prin depunere electrochimica. Au

fost realizate experimente de depunere din bai cu continut diferit de material la potentiale de crestere diferite. S-

a remarcat ca cel mai important parametru pentru morfologia si structura materialului obtinut este rata de

crestere.

Heterostructurile studiate în scopul utilizării lor în potenţiale aplicaţii în domeniul dispozitivelor

optoelectronice au fost de tipul: electrod transparent conductor (AZO sau ITO) /organic1 (ZnPC sau P78 sau

P13)/electrod metalic (Au, Al) şi electrod transparent conductor (AZO sau ITO) / organic1(ZnPC sau P78 sau

P13) /organic2 (NTCDA sau Alq3)/electrod metalic (Au, Al).

Au fost investigate particularităţile structurale şi cele topografice ale straturilor de oxid transparent

conductor, deoarece acestea afectează proprietăţile straturilor subţiri depuse deasupra acestora si a

dispozitivelor bazate pe acestea. Ulterior, s-au investigat proprietăţile optice şi electrice ale heteorstructurilor

uni şi bi-strat organic plecând de la baza sticlă/AZO (sau ITO). Metodele de caracterizare folosite au fost :

Difracţia de raze X, măsurători UV-VIS, fotoluminiscenţă, AFM-uri precum şi trasarea caracteristicilor I-V în

domeniul 0,1 - 10 V la intuneric.

Au fost realizate mai multe straturi subtiri si heterostructuri cu proprietati feroice cum ar fi PZTdepus pe

Si, SRO depus pe suport de STO, PZT dopat cu Mn, Ge dopat cu Mn, etc. Aceste structuri au fost investigate

prin RES si TEM obtinandu-se informatii pretioase privind calitatea structurala si continutul de impuritati cu

proprietati para/fero magnetice, precum si prin XPS si masuratori magnetice in cazul Mn:Ge. A fost preparat un

set extins de probe constand din straturi feroelectrice epitaxiale (PZT si BTO) cu diferite grosimi depuse prin

PLD pe suport monocristalin de STO.

Studii structurale prin difractie de raze X si prin rezonanta electronica de spin (pentru informatii de structura

locala), au fost efectuate pe sticle de tip (TeO2-V2O5) dopate cu pamanturi rare (Gd, Eu) in concentratii

diferite (1% - 50%).

Au fost preparate straturi Langmuir Blodgett alternate complexe cu acizi grasi si porfirine cu

aplicabilitate in stiintele vietii si medicina. Metoda permite ordonarea/formarea de straturi autoaranjate mono-

moleculare.

Semiconductorii magnetici diluati (DMS) cum este oxidul de zinc dopat cu mangan sunt candidati la

realizarea unei noi generatii de dispozitive numite spintronice in care magnetismul este controlat electronic sau

optic. Dietl si colaboratorii au prezis o temperatura Curie Tc de aproximativ 310 K pentru ZnO dopat cu cateva

procente de Mn. In acest model feromagnetismul este presupus a fi mediat de golurile din banda de valenta. Pe

de alta parte, Sato si Katayama-Yoshida au aratat ca se pot obtine materiale feromagnetice cu temperatura Curie

inalta utilizand ZnO cu conductivitate electrica de tip n. Deoarece Mn2+ este o impuritate isovalenta in

matricea de ZnO, nu se asteapta o schimbare in concentratia purtatorilor de sarcina. Codoparea cu Cu+ poate

facilita controlul densitatii purtatorilor de sarcina liberi.

S-a realizat caracterizarea microstructurala la nivel atomic a defectelor primare si radiolitice in fluorite

co-dopate, prin tehnici de rezonanta magnetica. S-a vizat obtinerea de informatii stiintifice privind stabilizarea

centrilor radiolitici de captura electron/gol asociati impuritatilor cationice si anionice in cristale de tip fluorita

co-dopate. Se urmareste identificarea de proprietati fizice noi, de interes stiintific deosebit sub aspectul

nanostructurii si proprietatilor cuantice ale starii fundamentale, vizand aplicatii in domeniul stocarii informatiei

si calculatoarelor cuantice (quantum computing).

Au fost realizate studii orientate spre investigarea aplicarii metodei ”Spark Plasma Sintering” (SPS) la

amestecuri de pulberi din MgB2, SiC (30 nm - dimensiunea medie de graunte) si telur. Aceasta ultima substanta

se

supraconductoare, cum ar fi densitatea critica de curent, Jc, si campul de ireversibilitate, Hir, astfel ca

supraconductorul devine competitiv in raport cu alti supraconductori.

Pentru obtinerea de dispozitive OLED a fost realizata sinteza chimica umeda pentru obtinerea

compusului organometalic mer-Alq3 si sinteza fizico-chimica prin reactie in faza solida pentru obtinerea unui

compus mixt merdional-facial de Alq3.

Au fost efectuate calcule de structura electronica in cadrul aproximatiilor LSDA+U si GGA+U. Interactiunea

de schimb direct Mn-Mn a fost evaluata considerand un Hamiltonian de spin de tip Heisenberg si valorile

energiei totale a sistemului obtinute in calcule cu aranjament feromagnetic (FM) si respectiv antiferomagnetic

(AF) al momentelor magnetice ale atomilor de Mn. Analiza calitativa a contributiei interactiunilor de

superschimb (SE) prin aplicarea regulilor Goodenough-Kanamori-Anderson.

înălţimea h = 9,7mm.

2.Antena cu rezonator din material BNT - Antena este realizată cu rezonator din material de tip BNT cu

permitivitatea εr = 82,7, pierderi dielectrice tg δ = 5,2·10-4, coeficient termic al frecvenţei de rezonanţă tf ‚ ~ 40 ppm /

oC, diametrul Ø = 16,76 mm şi înălţimea h = 9,7mm. Alimentarea prin fanta dreptunghiulară în planul de masă al

unei linii microstrip. Substratul liniei microstrip este o plăcuţa din alumina de dimensiuni 60 x 48 x 0,5 mm3

metalizata.

3.Antena rezonanta cu structuri de tip „left handed” – Antena este terminata in circuit eschis. Cu circuitul de

adaptare rezonnata de ordinul -1 are loc la 1,46 GHz, atenuarea de reflexie RL=11,3 dB castigul maxim de -0,4dB;

rezonanta de ordin 0 are loc la 2,1 GHz cu RL =13 dB si castigul maxim de -8,3 dB; rezonanta de ordin +1 are loc al

3,12 GHz cu RL=12,6 dB si castigul maxim de -10,4 dB.


1.Tehnologie de realizare a materialului BNT - Sinteza materialului de tip BNT N5 (Ba1-xPbx)Nd2Ti5O14, x = 0.5,

biologic. Prezinta proprietati antibacteriene incepand de la concentratii mici de argint in hydroxiapatita (Ca10-x

2.Retea de antene cu rezonatori cilindrici cu 4 elemente

Rezonatori dielectrici cilindrici din material (Zr0.8 Sn 0.2)TiO4 cu permitivitate electrica relativa εr = 36 si tangenta

unghiului de pierderi de tg δ = 2,8 10-4 masurate la 4 GHz. Antena lucreaza in banda ISM, frecventa centrala a

antenei 2.44 GHz, largime de banda mai mare de 110 MHz. Control al frecventei modurilor HEM11d si TE01dcu

discuri conductoare.
