JOHN LEWIS HEAD OFFICE - MEN’S BRANDED BUYING TEAM- AUG 2015Working closely with the buying assistant experiencing a number of different areas. Experienced trade meetings between the Buying/ Merchandising teams and amongst the whole fashion department. Reviewed critical path, buyers packs, sample forms and line lists with the BA.Processed samples recieved into excel sam-ple forms. Regularly referred to buying packs and range plans. Sitting in on several brands trade meetings e.g Barbour LTD, Fred Perry, and included in a John Lewis marketing meeting where discussion for Christmas 2015 took place, to which afterwards I was given the task of picking out samples to put forward for Chrismas adverts, and for Andy Street requested AW15 Campaigns. Designed the monthly trend page formed of newness amongst brands we stock which is then sent out to all fashion departments. Sent on a comp shop to discover potential new brands, showing my ideas/ findings pro-posing this to the BA in a meeting at the end of my time there. Ensuring online imagery and stock levels are up to date and to our standard, sending off samples to be shot if imagery needed improvement.Involved in several Dragons Den-style meet-ings for potential new brands. Involved in fittings for John Lewis’s own

JOHN LEWISMERCHANDISER, MENS BRANDED CASUALWEAR JANUARY 2015 - PRESENTResponsibilties include the innovative placement of new and current stock, outfit building based on sales figures from the day/ week previous, ensuring brands are ahead of their figures from the last year moving in a forward direc-tion. Keeping consumer needs and visual innovation at the forefront of deci-sion making. Launching new season trends and refreshing stock on a regular basis keeping customer interest key, therefor driving sales and profits. Regularly take part in, and play a major role in floor moves every season when brands are flipped and moved in there placement in the department. Sales promotions are launched on time and correspond with requirements recieved from head office, with whom are in regular contact with for such items, stock levels, space planning, new ideas and conferences from brand representitives. Recieve reguar visits from brand representitives ensuring they are kept up to date with sales figures and targets.Meetings held weekly with the team of Merchandisers for the department to review sales and plan new, innovative and exciting ways to bring the branch and the company forward within a competitive market. Other experience and responsibilties within the branch include picking stock for the men’s suiting department using new RFID software daily keepig track of stock levels. Have also been named an RFID champion, reporting to head office how the software is running and reporting any issues in order to im-prove and roll out to other stores in the next year. During peak Christmas time shall be spent on the childrenswear department improving visuals on the floor and training staff on changes implemented. Regularly included in the creative process and set up of seasonal pop-ups in branch, having recently completed ‘winter shop’, ‘gift shop’ and ‘Christmas shop’.

NEW LOOK WINDOW DRESSER, JUNE 2014 - JANUARY 2015Ensuring windows always looked there best keeping to the highest standard ensuring they were most enticing and inspirational to customers. Refreshing trends weekly ensuring promotions, new trend drops and seasonal changes were in place on time.Using trend books, guidelines and promotional packages sent fom head office, whilst also having creative freedom across three windows, two wom-en’s themed and one men’s, allowed for cated looks for the New Look customer and appealing to local customer types. Training mem-bers of staff on newness in windows and promo-tional activities in order to keep customer service at its best.

NEW LOOKVISUAL MERCHANDISER, JUNE 2012-JANUARY 2015Responsible for ensuring the innovative place-ment of stock and outfit builds throughout the store. Launching new season trends and refresh-ing stock ensuring customer focus and interest is key, driving sales and profits. Money mapping, referencing best sellers lists and guideline books used to ensure stock is refreshed according to sales and concpt guides.Working as the menswear specialist my responsi-bities for the whole department included ensur-ing sales and promotional launches are complet-ed succesfully. Launching new rends each season, which in turn saw a rise in sales and profits for the department. Previously visited ‘concept’ stores within the region launching concept and rebranding, as New Look constantly develop and expand as fashion and consumers needs do.

NEW LOOKSALES ASSISTANT, OCTOBER 2008 - JANUARY 2015From working on the tills where responsibili-ties included processing refunds, online orders and com-pleting transactions. To also assisting on the shop floor with repleneshing stock to visual merhcnadising both on the shop floor and the window displays. On a regular basis organizing delivery upon arrival in store and arranging click and collect orders. Being the fitting oom specialist where on a regular basis in charge of security in the fitting rooms and assisting with customer needs.
