Ciudad Vieja is a town of about 25,000 inhabitants in Guatemala’s central highlands, approximately 3 km from Antigua. The town is situated at the foot of the Agua volcano and surrounded by subtropical forest and agricultural land. SAN ANTONIO AGUAS CALIENTESis an indigenous village set on one side of a steep-sided bowl beneath the peak of Acatenango. San Antonio is famous for weaving, characterized by its complex floral and geometric patterns, and there's an indoor textile market next to the plaza where you can find a complete range of the local output.
