    In ceea ce priveste pozitia georgrafica a Tirolului, acesta este marginit de regiuni foarte frumoase, ca provinciile Salzburg si Carintia in partea estica, Tirolul de Sud (Alto Adige) in Sud, Elvetia si Voralberg in partea vestica si Germania in Nord.

    Tirolul mai inseamna:Mozart, Christian Doppler (efectul Doppler - determinarea vitezei luminii), Cristalele Swarovski, Baldessarini (Hugo Boss), valsul tirolez, snapsul tiro-lez si multe altele.

    Daca ne gandim ca gastronomia este definita ca o reprezentare a culturii, religiei si istoriei unui popor, privite prin savoarea a tot ceea ce inseamna arta gustului, atunci vom intelege de ce Adi Werner, bucatar-sef la Saint Cristophe Arlberg, un local mentionat in arhive inca din anul 1386, spunea despre gastronomia Tirolului ca este un tot indisociabil, care se compune din ambianta, servicii si specialitati tipice

    Tafelspitz (boiled fillet of beef) Austrian beef dish"Tafelspitz" is a typical Austrian dish. It is made with a well-hung piece of beef from the rump of a young ox and gets its name from the characteristic pointed shape of the cut (German "Tafel" = table, "spitz" = pointed)."Tafelspitz" is boiled meat.
