Valea Călugărească is a commune in Prahova, Romania. It is composed of fifteen villages: Arva, Coslegi, Dârvari, Pantazi, Rachieri, Radila, Schiau, Valea Călugărească, Valea Largă,

Valea Mantei, Valea Nicovani, Valea Poienii, Valea Popii, Valea Ursoii and Vârfurile.

The village is situated on the left bank of the river Teleajen in its lower area, the north climbing some hills about 300-400 m. The sole objective of Valea Călugărească

included in the list of historical monuments in Prahova County as a monument of local interest is the archaeological site of orchard Group Agricultural School, where

they found traces of a settlement from Halstatt period.The main occupation of the locals is winemaking. The village is nationally recognized

as one of the most important cities in winemaking. Tourists are drawn to natural products that locals prepare.
