Palma is the capital of the Balearic Islands, and for the majority of tourist will be their port of entry to Majorca (Mallorca), as the island's international airport is found here. The gateway to one of Spain's most popular Islands, Palma is the commercial centre for Majorca and has undergone massive redevelopment over the last 20 years which has help reinvigorate the city centre with new shopping and restaurant areas.
