OPENING ELEMENT SEALING

Front side door frame seal: Removal - Refitting 65AREMOVAL

Remove:

- the front door trim( (see Front side door trim: Re-

moval - Refitting) .

Position the window so you have access the moun-ting clip (1) .

Press on the catch (1) with a screwdriver, pulling thewindow up.

Remove the frame seal from behind the panel (2) .

Remove the window via the exterior of the door.

Unclip the frame interior trim.

Front side door frame seal: Removal - Refitting 65A

Unclip the frame interior trim.

Unclip the interior weatherstrip.

Remove the lower bolt fixed upright (3) .

Remove the fixed upright upper bolt (4) .

Remove the frame seal as far as the fixed window.

Front side door frame seal: Removal - Refitting 65A

Unclip the full length of the seal.

Remove the « frame seal - fixed window - fixedupright » assembly.

Remove the window seal.

REFITTING

Check that the foam pads are in place on the fixedwindow behind the panel (5) .

Rear side door frame seal: Removal - Refitting 65A

REMOVAL

Remove the door trim( (see Rear side door trim:Removal - Refitting) .

Carefully remove the exterior weatherstrip (1) and(2) using tool (Car. 1363) .

Press on the catch (3) with a screwdriver, pulling thewindow up.

Unclip the interior trim (4) and (5) .

Unclip the interior weatherstrip.

Special tooling required

Undo the bolt (6) by one turn, without removing it.

Remove the slide bolts (7) .

Press on the catch (8) to remove the slide.

Remove the plastic rivet (9) .

remove the window via the exterior of the door.

remove:

- the trim seal,

- the trim (10) and (11) .

WARNING

The left trim bolt has a left-hand thread.

The right trim bolt has a right-hand thread.

Unclip the trim support (12) .

Unclip the seal.

REFITTING

Position the seal in the corner (13) .

Insert the seal in the corner (13) , taking care to slideit behind the panel (14) .

Fit the slide before replacing the window.

Position the frame seal (15) on the slide.

Proceed in the reverse order to removal.

Note:

The trim support may be removed for apanelwork operation.

Sunroof seal: Replacement 65AREPLACEMENT

Remove the mobile panel from the sunroof (see52A, Non-side opening element mechanisms,Sunroof mobile panel: Removal - Refitting ).

Clean and then degrease the bonding area with hep-tane.

Position the seal weld on the rear centre section (2) .

Bond the seal using adhesive, Part No.: 77 11 223369 .

Refit the mobile panel to the sunroof (see 52A, Non-side opening element mechanisms, Sunroof mo-bile panel: Removal - Refitting ).

Initialise the sunroof motor (see MR 371 87D, Elec-tric windows - Sunroof, Initialisation).

WARNING

Replace the seal (1) after each removal.

Sunroof seal: Replacement 65ARemove the mobile panel from the sunroof (see52A, Non-side opening element mechanisms,Sunroof mobile panel: Removal - Refitting ).

Replace the seal (1) every time it is removed.

WINDOW SEALING

Front door side exterior weather strip: Removal - Refitting 66A

REMOVAL

Carefully remove the exterior weatherstrip (1) and

(2) using tool (Car. 1363) .

REFITTING

Position the weatherstrip on the rear-view mirror (2) .

Clip on the weatherstrip.

WINDOW SEALING

Rear side door exterior weather strip: Removal - Refitting 66A

REMOVAL

Carefully remove the exterior weatherstrip (1) and

(2) using tool (Car. 1363) .

REFITTING

Position the weatherstrip on the B-pillar (2) .

Clip on the weatherstrip.
