UDSA 008 - 100

The above mentioned series air heaters are designed to operate on natural, propane or butane gas and

will be supplied fitted for the gas type ordered. In the event of site conversion to a different gas type it is

necessary to follow the following instructions.

2. ADJUSTMENT OF THE COMBINED GAS VALVE:

* SIT application:

Natural gas to setting pressure as described in the installation instructions

Propane to maximum pressure setting and seal after setting

* HONEYWELL application 1-stage

Conversion to natural gas : replace blanking plate (B) by pressure regulator

(C) and adjust burner pressure as per installation instructions

Conversion to propane : replace pressure regulator (C)

by blanking plate (B)

* HONEYWELL application - 2-stage:

Conversion to natural gas :

replace gas pressure operator propane (A) V4366A-PROP 240

4-37M by gas pressure operator natural gas V4366A (3-20mbar)

Conversion to propane :

replace gas pressure operator natural gas V4366A (3-20 mbar) by gas pressure operator (A) V4366A-PROP 240 4-37M

Regulation low pressure for 50% rate = 1/4 of the maximum inlet pressure

e.g. : 20mbar : 50% = 5mbar

37mbar : 50% = 9,25mbar

3. ADJUSTMENT OF THE VENTURI (ONLY FOR PROPANE)

When unit is operating on propane gas it is necessary to fit a restrictor to the venturi tube. We therefore refer to table 1

on page 1 and the figures 1 & 2 below.

4. ADJUST DATA PLATE:use label with part number 06 09041

Make the necessary changes to the data plate:

specify correct gas type

specify burner pressure (only in case of natural gas)

specify correct inlet pressure (17.5/20.0 mbar for natural gas or 28/37mbar for propane) take care to delete all references to the original gas type

5. REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF GAS LABELS

conversion of natural gas to propane : remove label for natural gas (yellow) (part number

06 09005) & fix label for propane (orange) (part number 06 25841).

conversion of propane to natural gas : remove label for propane (orange) (part number 06 25841) &

fix label for natural gas (yellow) (PN 06 09005).
