Read the following text and decide if the sentences are true(T) or false(F).(20 points) I’m just looking out of my window now at a jet aeroplane. I live quite close to an airport, you see, and from my living room window I have a view of planes taking off and landing all day. Of course, it does get quite noisy and, sometimes, if a plane is flying too low, our whole house shakes and rattles! We’ve become quite used to it, though. In fact, none of us even wakes up at night anymore. The only problem arises when we have people spending the night. Now I only get on an aeroplane when my wife and I go to visit our eldest daughter in Spain. My wife doesn’t understand my great love of aeroplanes. When she sees me watching yet another TV programme about them, or reading yet another book about flying, she sighs and tells me that I need to get another interest. But I just tell her that everyone is different and that she should be happy I have a hobby. I’ve just started reading a book by a man who used to fly for a major international airline. It’s a fascinating read - I can’t put it down. The author goes into a lot of great detail about what it is like to be a pilot. He makes it sound like the most exciting job in the world. (20 points) Robot Birds Liverpool city council want to clear the city of fat pigeons. They say that that people are feeding the birds, which makes them fat. The pigeons get bigger because their normal diet would consist of seeds and insects, not high-fat junk food they are eating in the city center.

The council want people to know that everyone who feeds the pigeons is responsible for the streets being so crowded with these birds. They hope to encourage the birds to move away from the city center and into parks and open spaces.

In November 2016, Kevin Newton’s Bus Shelter opened its doors for the first time on the Isle of Wight in the UK. It’s actually an old double-decker bus that Kevin changed to be a place where people can live, sleep and cook. The bus is located in the peaceful suburbs of the island’s main town and is open 24/7. Anyone who doesn’t have anywhere to sleep can head to the bus and expect a warm welcome. Kevin’s goal was to make it unnecessary for people on the Isle of Wight to sleep outside. Anyone without a place to sleep can live in the shelter for as long as they want if they’re willing to follow the Bus Shelter’s rules. Residents are required to get help from local agencies who help homeless people find housing and jobs. They also have to do paid or voluntary work to keep the bus running.
