Bay Area punk rock group Heartsounds will release their third full-length album, Internal Eyes, on

October 18th via Flix Records (Cargo / Plastic Head Distribution) in Europe. In anticipation for theupcoming release Heartsounds has premiered a new song titled Te World Up Tere

Internal Eyes was recorded, mixed, and, masteredat Castle Ultimate Studios in Oakland, CAin June & July of 2013. Te band once againcalled on producer/engineer Zack Ohren for theproduction of the album, resulting in what canonly be considered the most sonically impressiveand aesthetically pleasing Heartsounds record todate. While 2009s Until We Surrender marked

the bands debut effort, tracked solely betweenGuitarist/Vocalists Ben Murray and Laura Nichol,Internal Eyes is the second full-length album(after last years Drifter) to include drummer reyDerbes as a crucial songwriting partner to thegroup. Internal Eyes also marks the rst album with bassist Bobby aul, who helps in achievinga more solidied and tighter-knit rhythm sectionthan ever before.

A lot has happened to all four of us in the last two years since the release of Drifter, and we are nowin a place as a band that feels more natural andfun than ever, and I feel like this shows throughon these 10 new songs says Murray. he EP was written, recorded and produced by highly productive Niels Hjgaard Srensen - the man behiStj Snak - and follows Planned Obsolescence and Songs About Beliefs, both released in 2012 throu5FeetUnder Records and NS Records. Niels has musical roots deep in the undergroundsoil and he has travelled most of Europe andeven as far as Russia with the melodic hardcoreband Mighty Midgets and during the last year with Stj Snak. Both bands have a number ofreleases under their belt and has reached greatacclaim in the underground but remained belowthe mainstream radar.Stj Snak moves towards a more folky soundbut remains true to the DIY ethics and politicaloutlook of the punk scene. Brutus Daughters: Tank you very much! It took us a bit longer than expected to release it, but there it is at last!Tings in Madrid are going on as always, not a very powerful Celtic scene, but we hope it will change in the nearfuture and more people start spreading it!

For the people who don,t know your name,tell us something about the band...how you guys started?

We started 5 years ago, when a group of four girls decided to form a punk folk band and look for someone whcould play bagpipes. Tat was our main goal, then other members fortunately joined the band and we began playingin some pubs until we could support ourselves nancially our rst album. Although there have been some changein the band formation up to now, since three of the former members left the band due to work requirements andthree more had to leave also due to the same circumstances, it is true that the original spirit hasnt died away, buincreases as time goes by. Brutus Daughters is a group of friends who enjoy playing together and do their best tcontinue on the scenarios. And concerning the names origin.well, we chose Brutus because we wanted to showthat not always heroes are the ones who triumph, but also anti-heroes like Popeyes enemy, so that what we arethe real bastard daughters of the heros enemy :D

Its a great work, were looking forward to going to anothergig, were lucky that they come to Spain very often! What can you tell me about the second album,speciallybecause is a diy album and i know is hard to do somethingindependent these days...Our second album follows the same criteria of our rstone, since we have recorded and produced with what we have earned in gigs and selling merchandising. Itsnot difficult to keep being independent, but sometimesit takes more time to get an objective, like releasing analbum or organizing some gigs together. Being under thedirection of a discography is not such a bad idea, whoknows

Speaking of celtic folk and punk...from where you havethe inuences.

Each band member has brought up listening to differentmusic styles, but we share a common punk folk taste,above all from North American bands, which mix punkmusic with Celtic instruments and melodies.

What is the band message that you want to be heard?

Our message is not a complicated one, we use our musicnot just to have a nice time playing together, which istrue, but also as a means to communicate what weconsider unfair in our society. Most of our songs deal witheveryday injustices that each of us experience or witnessand we cant help it, it does inuence our composition asmuch as we nd inspiration in our surroundings.

Tats not an easy question, weve got lots ofbands in mind, but maybe wed choose two

bands from Spain, Drink Hunters or FuckingFuckers, weve been friends for long time.

Mahones or Flogging Molly? Both of them, we cant answer to this question!!

What plans you have for the future...anotheralbum,shows...what do you guys do besides theband?

For the time being we are going to enjoy oursecond album on stage, but there are somesongs which have already being started, ideasare always growing inside and if everythinggoes as expected, well spend next year playingand composing new stuff.
