  Danube Delta (Romania)

 The Danube Delta is situated in Dobrogea, Romania on a surface of  5050 km² and it

is both the second largest delta and the well preserved delta in urope!

"t is crossed b# the three branches of the Danube$ %hilia, &ulina and &f! 'heorghe,

which bring with them some unknown species of plants, animals and birds which

can be seen ust in the Danube Delta!

 The fauna includes some biarre and unprecedented species of animals and birds of 

which more than *+0 species of birds! &ome birds which can be seen there$ geese,

eagles, sk#larks and also the largest colon# of pelicans outside of the frican! The

Danube Delta has more than -5 species of .sh$ silver crucian, striped perch, grig,

mur pike!

 The /ora of the Danube Delta consists mostl# of wetland vegetation (reed, bulrush,

sedge mied with willow) and occupies 123 of the total of the delta! The blanket of

white lilies on the Danube gives a feeling of being in a dream, because of this pure

white of the lilies above the #ellow4green water which is fading with the aure blue

sk#! There is creating a s#mphon# of colours!

 The climate of the Danube Delta is a speci.c one for the regions with semiarid

climate, and thats wh# the temperatures are highs ones in the summer season! "n

the winter the low temperatures comes with white and /u6# snow and cold wind

which gives #ou the feeling that #ou are cut b# thousands sharp knives!

ven if the Danube Delta is a region known for its natural environment and for itsoriginalit# in the world, can present a lot of touristic attractions in some 7ancient

the eastern count# of Tulcea or the old churches built in 92+:4 The 8rtodo %hurch

 The region of the Danube Delta is original in the world for its fauna, /ora and

environment de.ned b# colour, shape and the imagination of the nature which gives
